The Power Of Positive Thinking

For a person who has an attitude of thinking positive, sky is the limit. A person with positive attitude can break all the shackles of this modern society and transcend to a level where he becomes so confident that he gets ready to take the bull by its horns. There are many reasons why a person who has such a strong attitude might be broken due to reasons innumerable. It is always found that: tougher the person, the greater will be the pain of failure faced by him. It is quite natural to fail. But, the attitude of positive thinking should not be given up. Yes, positive thinking is a great power. It rests with people who understand their responsibilities. The power of positive thinking is undoubtedly an unique gift and is gifted to very few people. The lifestyles of Lal Bahadur Shastri and Sir Abraham Lincoln make a common man shiver while looking at the positive attitudes of these great people. Mahatma Gandhi was another person who took the lashes of the British hunter on himself and never budged till the British officer succumbed and asked for forgiveness. Yes, all these were great people. They lived with low salaries and worked harder than what they ate. And a peep into the biographies of these great people tells us the number of times they failed in their lives. But, finally even success had to succumb its ego and knock the doors of these great people by looking at their tremendous positive attitudes which showed a robust and balanced mind which was stable enough to sustain the whips of failure.

Positive attitude is nothing but the quality of sustenance, sustenance of failure, triggered with the willingness to succeed. There are many examples which can teach us how to build up a mental attitude which will help us fight our way through the crowds. Whenever a person feels like doing anything important which will be of use to the nation and the people around him, he finds that the whole society stands against him. But a man has to remember that an aero plane flies only when it runs against the winds. A person with positive attitude never thinks about the consequences that may arise when he undertakes an important work. He just works and is never bothered about the result. In India there are a few people who call themselves as Karma Yogies. These people just do their work and do not bother themselves about the fruits that may result as a gift to their hard work. They leave the decision of fruits in the hands of God almighty and work hard all day long without keeping any expectations in their mind in return for their hard work.

It is quite surprising to see the harsh and determined positive attitudes of Bhagat Singh and his comrades in the Indian freedom struggle. The way they sustained the lashes of the British and went on a hunger strike for a time period which was never attempted ever before by any Indian. They say that an Indian martyr had cut his tongue with his own teeth so that the British should no longer ask him about any of the activities being undertaken by the Indian activists. This entire attitude comes from a brave heart. A brave heart, which rests beneath the chest of every positive thinker. They did all this just because they had a positive attitude towards their life. They had a feeling that the Indians will definitely get their freedom someday and they all fought hard to make that day come true as early as possible.

It is not surprising to see that the positive attitude does not come so easily to a person who has never failed before. A scholar never becomes a scholar unless he fails in solving a problem. Failure is required to bring success in one’s life. The biography of Sir Abraham Lincoln should be helpful to build a positive attitude within a person who has lost all hopes in his life. There are many failures around you. You just need to open your eyes and you will be amazed to see that every person fails many a times in his life. The topper of a class though well versed in technology fails to impress an interviewer for he does not pay attention to the other sources of knowledge that are surrounding him. In fact, a person who is very good in one field is worse in many others. If a person thinks that he has failed and can do nothing more in is life is usually wrong while thinking so. And he understands this point only after he gains success.

Doesn’t matter how many times you fail, you need to sustain the fall get up and again get ready for another war. Failing is not a matter to be felt ashamed over. It has to be faced. It is only when you look face to face into your failures that you get the power to face it. A tiny person can kill a huge devil with the help of a single small weapon: a sling shot. And we all know these stories which were told to us to build our positive attitudes. The supernatural force called God is praised by every person with a positive attitude so that He may give him courage enough to fight against the evil. There has to be some reason why the creator created us and sent us on this beautiful earth. Search for that reason and see positive things in every failure that comes your way. In fact failure gives you another opportunity to fight. And as history reveals: a wounded lion is twice as harmful and fierce than a healthy one. Have that positive attitude and you will be surprised how things work out your way.
