How to Grab The Attention Of People

Many a people fell like marking their presence wherever they go and always fail trying to do so. Read on to know the various tricks of grabbing the attention of the crowd around you.

Many of my friends feel like becoming a man who lightens up the surrounding wherever he goes, a man who is always adored with bells and whistles. But they all fail trying to do so. The reason is because they never notice the things around them. They just blindly shoot an arrow in any direction and yet expect it to pierce the bull’s eye. And, as we all know, the chances of such a spear hitting the bull’s eye are way too low. Well, then how do we find out the solution to the problem at hand?

The solution is quite simple. You need to know ‘what kind of people’ are adored in which surroundings. Just look around. You just need to notice things. Say for example that you are going to a concert hall where a very famous musician is coming to give a show. Keep in mind that people are here to see the musician not you. So, you need not dress up in a very elaborate manner (like a groom at his wedding or something like that). I would suggest anything from a Kurta to a Shervani for such an occasion. The reason is quite simple- “it marks your presence”. The other advantage of this dress is that it matches the climate of the place you are going to- a concert hall. Another thing to keep in mind is- keep it simple and clean. People like simple guys. If you wear very complex and fashion filled dresses you will start exhibiting “inferiority complex”. The reason is that a complex dress actually makes you feel that you are something different and hence you will not mingle with the crowd or rather it might work the other way round too. So wear something very simple which shall suit you very well. Do not be too serious at occasions like- music concerts, marriage ceremony, etc. this will separate you from the attention of the crowd and you will be pushed away to some corner of the hall like a palanquin or something. Instead mingle with the people around you and have a little conversation with a smile on your face. A smile actually shows that you are interested in the climate around you. Also, good smiles grab the attention of the crowd much easily as compared to a good conversation. Always speak as less as possible. Speak only as much as is necessary during that particular instant. Else maintain silence and observe your surroundings. Just noticing things around you will teach you how to behave during that particular occasion.

In case of an interview, your dress code is of prime importance. In interviews looking good is a very important thing. Many a people judge you on the basis of your dress code during an interview. A person with a neat and clean dress code with hairs cut short and not trying to act too smart is always adored by the interviewers. Wear a simple shirt with a simple pant which is ironed well and looks very clean. In this situation you need to have a good taste of color combinations. Go for contrast colors. They are always the best. I would suggest a white shirt with a preferably dark pant. This combination works just fine with any person. As for the tie, wear a dark one. Avoid colorful ties. Some people hate some colors a lot. You might get disqualified if your tie’s color does not soothe the mind of the interviewer. Do not go for ties with designs on them. They look good in marriages, not here. When it comes to a formal wear avoid fashionable stuff as far as possible. Say a big no to clothes with designs on them at least till you come out of the interview hall. Shave yourself properly and apply a good cream to your face so that your skin does not look dry. Do not apply too much of make up. This will also spoil the show. Just keep in mind that your dress should tell the interviewer that you are a professional who is fit for the post which is vacant. If you are applying for the post of an engineer you should look like an engineer and not like a modern jockey or something funnier like a clown or anything likewise.

The above two cases were just an example to show how you can grab the attention of the crowd around you without much effort. Just think of the place you will be going to and dress up accordingly. Also, wherever you go, keep in mind that you are not a lunatic. So do not go on speaking unnecessary things which will bore the people around you. Very few people have the talent of converting every sentence into a laugh buster. If your sense of humor is not so good wait for a chance and crack a joke at the right time. If you are well talented in making people burst into laughter with your comments carry on. You will always be wanted to fill up the post of a jockey or a funny host whenever your friends plan to go out for a treat or a picnic. And undoubtedly you will be the star of the show. Have a nice day !!!!!!

Body Building Facts And Myths

Body building has become a great trend and is found to be most popular with the modern youth. This time we at modern trends went to different gyms and met the greatest builders there. Read on to know their body building secrets and the workouts needed to get an awesome muscular body.

For the first time in my life I went to the gym in order to collect the information and facts about great body building secrets as followed by the Bollywood celebrities. Prakash a very close friend of mine, who looked very thin and weak, removed his shirt and I saw those beautiful cuts around his ribs. He had a very cool body and looked just great without a shirt on his chest. He had muscular ripples all over his body and looked very strong. I decided to do my body building workouts under his guidance.

Many youngsters do workouts for building a good body but their bodies are so out of proportion that the personality as a whole does not look so impressive. Some attend the gymnasium since a very long time but are unable to get those great cuts on their body, reason being, they do not follow procedure. All those who have done many body building workouts, and, yet haven’t got any significant body muscles, need to consult the gym master without feeling shy (after all he is being paid for it). You cannot advance in this field without the help of senior body builders. This is one of the fields where experience matters a lot.

Now let us take a look at the basic body building steps. First of all, you should be quite slim to initiate a body building schedule. If you have a tummy, better start with cycling or the jogging machine (I have used simple words so that everybody understands what I am speaking about). When you think that your body has achieved a good proportion, start with the body building process. The reason is because, in body building, the most important factor is to lose the fats accumulated in your body. This makes the cuts on your stomach and chest clearly visible. I have seen some friends of mine wearing sweaters and running around in the afternoon sun. I thought they were crazy and I was right: they really were crazy about body building. Also, if you are very thin you need to improve your diet. You need to eat a lot in order to tone your body and achieve the right expected proportionate body. If you are too thin, you can easily build your six pack abs by doing a little bit of abdomen exercise at your home. But, if you want those cool biceps and triceps decorating your arms consider eating like the poultry animals and toiling in the gym like a mad bull.

The whole body building process is based on these two simple facts. This once achieved will give you very good results in your body building workouts. Now let us take a quick look at the myths encountered in this field:

1. “Heavy workouts give bulky muscles”. This is the worst myth around. It isn’t heavy workout which is important it is a heavy weight which is more important. You need to increase the weight of the apparatus you are using in order to achieve good body building results. Your muscles will start blowing out when you become harder. In order to become more hard and strong you need to upgrade the weight of your dumbbells. The more weight you lift the stronger you become. Greater the force you apply during your workouts, greater will be the size of your muscles. So, lifting twenty kilograms a hundred times wont give you even half the effect of lifting fifty kilograms a mere two times.

2. “A pain after or during the workouts means that you are doing a good workout”. This is absolutely false. In fact if you are getting a pain it denotes that you are not doing your body building workouts in a proper manner. Do not be too harsh with your body. Doing this has many a times ripped the muscles of many great builders.

3. “Working a little bit with all the apparatus is a good solution”. It is not so. If you think that not using all the apparatus will waste your money you are right. But if you think that “if I do not use all the apparatus everyday my money will be wasted”, let me tell you that you are absolutely wrong. Is it the money which is more important or the final product which comes out of the gym? Read the following paragraph and find out why many a people going to the gym do not get the expected results in their body building programs.

The reason is quite simple. Many people use all the apparatus lying around in the gym. This is a very bad way of working out. I did it too, but now I have rectified my mistakes. It is advised to work on one specific part of your body each day. Say today you use all the equipment which will tone your chest, then, tomorrow use all the apparatus which tones your shoulders. Day after tomorrow work on your chest and so on. Always work systematically. Fat guys should do more workouts on their chest and arms to get a few quick results. Whereas those who are thin should work more on the abdominal area. This will give quick body building results which will be visible to everybody. If you take a lot of stress during your workouts your face will start changing and look very ugly. So do not squeeze the hell out of yourself to get the desired effect as quickly as possible. After all, a good face is also important.

Body building is not every guy's cup of tea. And anyway there are lot of people out there who have a tummy and are yet adored by so many people. It isn’t a macho type of body building which is so important. It is a good personality and a perfectly balanced body like Salman Khan which is more important. Recently there is a lot of competition in body building among Bollywood actors. Presently it is John Abraham who shock the audience with his great body building workouts. Hrithik also flaunted great biceps ever since his first film. Body builders consider body building to be an art and work out to get the perfect looks which is adored in the corporate section of the modern times.

Yoga- the dissolver of tummies

Read further to explore the recent surveys which claim that yoga can trigger mindful eating which is helpful in avoiding a fat stomach.

A new study has revealed that regular yoga practice promotes mindful. And it is a matter of fact, as we all know, that those who eat mindfully are less likely to become fat. What is mindful eating? It is a state of mind where we have our complete attention towards our stomach. So if our stomach is full, we feel it and stop eating. Now let us plunge a bit more deeply into this topic.
The study led by Dr Alan Kristal, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre, showed that regular yoga practice may help prevent middle-age tummies in normal weight people and also reduce the tummies of over-weight people.
The researchers suspected that the weight loss effect is due to sensitivity towards hunger and satiety i.e. if your stomach is full you get to know that you are satisfied and you stop eating. This is quite uncommon among young people. They eat and eat with no attention towards, what they are eating, and how much they are eating. You might be surprised to know that the workers who do heavy physical activities at the building construction sites eat just as much as is necessary for them. All they eat is some 300-400 grams of food as compared to the non-stop eating of the present day generation. Chats are actually a place where such behavior of youngsters is clearly visible. I will speak about this later.
Doctor Kristal further said, “In our earlier study, we found that middle-age people who practice yoga gained less weight over a ten year period than those who did not.” Again he has stressed the same point that there is mindless eating found in the youth who do not practice yoga. So, the key point is that we should have attention towards our eating habits and eat just as much as is necessary to fill our stomachs. Later he added that, “This was independent of physical activity and dietary patterns. We hypothesized mindfulness (a skill learned either directly or indirectly through yoga) could affect eating behavior.”
Psychology has actually revealed that there are certain people who eat out of anxiety, anger or even depression. Now let me continue the chat topic that I had left in the previous paragraph. It is found that if we like something we eat it continuously till we are filled upto the brim. This is a very bad habit. It is a fact known to many, that some blank space in the stomach is necessary for the process of digestion. So if we fill ourselves completely upto the brim the food will not be digested properly. So take care that you have some space left in your stomach after drinking water. This is the secret of the perfect diet and digestion. But eating too less is also not good. It will give you a very weak physique which will definitely not be admired by many. Your physique should be such that your clothes seem to be filled with your body. Or else you will resemble a skeleton covered with a few pieces of cloth. So take care of your diet and eat mindfully. And never gobble the food hastily. This is also a very bad habit. Take care.
Have a nice day !!!!!!!!!!!!

Is SRK really so cool?

What makes SRK so cool that he has become the dream boy of so many Indian sweet hearts????

This week we had a Forum discussion on this topic and found out the secrets behind the curtains of this cool topic. Some answers surprised whereas some answers made us laugh like hell. The target was definitely to find out the feelings in the hearts of the girls who have Shah-Rukh-fever. Guys had to speak on “SRK is not so cool” and girls had to debate on the opposite topic. And finally the boys’ team won and the girls, team accepted the truth.

The debate was started with a little bit of discussion on “what makes SRK so cool?” Girls then started saying that:
• He looks very smart.
• He has a thrilling body (Boys: really? We never saw it.)
• He is handsome and dashing.
• He is very fair.
• He is rich and very dignified.
• He has a very unique charm.

Now came the turn of the boys. They counter attacked each and every point with the speed of a thunder.
Let us take each and every point and make ourselves clear of the facts so that there is no confusion left behind. The first one: he looks very smart. May be, but Tom Cruise definitely looks smarter than him. The girls agreed on this point. There was no serious counter attack on this point except for a silly reaction from a girl saying that: he at least looks smarter than you guys. And the whole hall was filled with laughter on this point. The girl became nervous when a boy replied: we are not models, or else, we would have been smarter than him. Which was appreciated by many, with a round of ear hurting applause. Seriously speaking he really has a point. It is not that the boys are all simple and non-stylish. It is just that, modeling is not their profession, and hence, they do not care about looking sleek and slim with a hot and shining face. In fact even John Abraham and lots of other actors do not have a very clear face. I made this a point by saying that the make-up done to their faces also has its effect on making them look so smart. If you want a good example of this then I would say: Himesh Reshammia. If his face can be improved so much on the screen with layers of make-up then why cant SRK’s face be improved with the same. There is absolutely no guarantee that the face shown on screen is their natural face.

The second one is just not so true. The six pack abs in “Om Shanti Om” was really a mere muscle below his ribs, which looked so clearly, because of the oil that was applied to his skin. Truly speaking the real credit here goes to the director, the cameraman and the illumination engineer who shot the scene in such a manner as to highlight his muscles. This point also got a huge applause as it was a technical projection which was not even thought of by anybody else in the room. The girls also nodded an affirmative to this one.

The next one: he looks very handsome and dashing. Here we pointed out a few actors who could easily beat SRK on this point. The first one who was pointed out was the real guy: Hrithik. Then the mouths revealed yet another list which included Leonardo Di Caprio, Antonio Banderas, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Shahid , John Abraham, Salman Khan and I also heard somebody saying Jim Carry. There was another huge burst of laughter on listening to this. The girls reacted saying: "thank god he did not say Rowan Atkinson”, which again made the room ring with bells and whistles.

As for the fair part, there were a few guys in our college on whom everybody could bet were fairer than him. He is rich we agreed. But Bill Gates is definitely richer than him. Then why are girls not so crazy about him? Mallya is richer too! Then why does he put bikini girls on his calendar. He could have put his own face for those endorsements. So this point can be ruled out. As for the dignified part, it is just a mental projection present in the minds of the girls who see his films. Girls have to make a demarcation between the characters of the actors. The character they show on the silver screen is definitely different from their real life character. If he really was so dignified he would not drink and have a row with Salman in Katrina’s party.
He has a very unique charm. Everybody agreed on this. But again there are lots of other charming faces. Then what is it that really makes SRK the dream boy of every Indian girl? Keep in touch and we will let you know. Till then have a cool time buddy!!!!!!!!!!!

(……..will be continued next month)

The Sensible Youth Of Our Nation

Go through the following article to know how the youth of India is getting sensible by observing things which are absurd and quite often found in our country….

If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan you must have definitely read the following piece of extract:
‘A client comes to meet Mr. Sherlock Holmes who is a very famous detective.
Mr. Holmes notices his client’s outlook and says, “From South Africa, sir, I percieve?”
The client says, “Of course!” with an expression of surprise on his face.
Holmes: Imperial Yeomanry I fancy.
Client: Exactly!
Holmes: Middlesex Corps, no doubt.
Client: That is so Mr. Holmes you are a wizard!
Mr. Holmes smiled at his bewildered expression and replied: “When a gentleman of virile appearance enters my room with such a tan upon his face which an English sun can never give, and, with his handkerchief in his sleeve instead of in his pocket, it is not difficult to place him. You wear a short beard which shows that you were not a regular. You have the cut of a riding man, as to Middlesex, your card has already shown me that you are a stockbroker from Throgmorton Street. What other regiment do you join?”
Client: You see everything!
Holmes: I see no more than you, but I have trained myself to notice what I see.’
Interesting, isn’t it? Think about a nation half filled with such people! It would definitely be a site worth watching. Anyways, coming to the real topic. I found the following story stuck in the corner of a newspaper, which was quite interesting: A plane had taken off from Pune and was heading towards Kolkata with Indian passengers in it. Suddenly the pilot came in and announced, “The plane cannot land at Kolkata due to heavy rain, and hence, we will be landing at a small airport near Varanasi. We will resume our flight by tomorrow morning.” The passengers heaved an unpleasant sigh, “Oh God! What is this? How can such a thing happen? This is such a terrible situation. Bla bla bla …” but nobody could help it and had to accept the changes without much complaints. Aas reported, the plane landed at Varanasi. As it was a sudden diversion, the infrastructure quirks at the station were unpredicted. There was a bus waiting to accommodate the passengers and head towards the city so as to ease the avail of eating and sleeping arrangements to the passengers. As soon as the bus came, the Indian passengers rushed towards the bus in order to hold the best seat available (air passengers are usually comfort freaks). And here enter our two young heroes. When these guys saw a lady with a small child trying to make her way into the bus, they got aside and told everybody to let the first bus be boarded by ladies having small children, and the old people. They themselves gave away their seats to two young ladies having children. This suddenly changed the atmosphere. The uncles (as I call them) saw the mature behavior of the boys and decided to do accordingly. The youngsters had organized a queue when the second bus arrived, and hey! Everybody got a seat. Those who did not get seats shared seats with those, who were already sitting. Everyone was happy, and, everybody forgot their desperate conditions (as they called it) at least for a while.
Now comes the next scene of the play. At the hotel, people again started fighting for getting special family rooms. Everybody took a family room and paid extra bill for the same. The only difference between the family rooms and the rest of the sitting place was the seats. Family section had sofas in it and the other section had cushioned chairs. Air conditioner was active throughout the hotel. Our two youngsters sat in the ordinary section, had a wonderful meal and paid just three fourth the amount paid by those who sat in the family section. This time everyone was again complaining: oh! The food wasn’t so good. It is simply a huge waste of money and this and that……… but our heroes were laughing and having a wonderful time looking at their foolish behavior.
There was one thing that these two youngsters never understood. Why are these people having a mob mentality? They are not Prime Ministers or VIP’s, then why are they acting like this? Why does everyone want to grab the best possible thing. Why does everybody act as if he is special? The reason is because they are all lost in the darkness of comfort. They never think that comfort can make them slaves. They were so worried about small-small things like- what if I don’t get a seat in the bus? What if I have to stand while traveling? What if I don’t get a seat in the special room? What if I alone am left out in the ordinary section of the hotel?, etc. These people will be surprised to know that they are comfort freaks. They will not be able to sit on the ground because the comfort giving sofas have made their bodies so comfort loving that they just cannot do without it.
It is ‘he who can smile under any circumstances’ who lives like a king. I say King because he is not a slave of comfort. He can live without comfort, he can live without a hefty salary, and he can also live without bothering about strict working schedules. Such person is actually referred to as a mature person. Because, as he is not worried about small-small things that are unnecessary, he has plenty of time to learn different things by looking at people around him. It is these people who can become, as mature and sharp, as Sherlock Holmes in their mere future. This is actually just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. There is still lot more to be understood, for e.g. talking less. Talking just as much as is necessary in the present situation is also a sign of maturity in a person. It is this maturity that has to be stabilized within us. Such people mark their presence in a very strong manner and are very impressive.
Let me conclude this article with a very good example of a deity who is referred to as a “Mariyada Purushottama” (the best among the males) in India- Lord Sri Rama. Once a man went to the sage who wrote Ramayana and asked him “what did you find in Rama, so that you praised him so much and entitled him as ‘Mariyada Purushottama’?” The sage smiled and said, “what makes Rama so special is that- the smile which was visible on his face when he was abandoned from the kingdom and sent to the forest, was exactly similar to the one he had on his face when he was a Prince.” It is this divine smile which is found on the face of a mature person. And this quality of such a person can be admired only by another mature person. Rest of the world will never understand the beauty of this behavior. In west, it is this same maturity which is supposed to be found within a person who is called as a gentleman. But people nowadays have started having serious faces in order to get recognized as gentlemen. It is clearly visible that if the youth show a few changes in their behavior they can definitely change the whole nation. Even a small thing like- not throwing wrappers on the street and keeping them in your pockets till you find a dustbin to dispose it in, is an admirable quality. These things are never found among common people. So be different and mark your strong presence wherever you go. Only then will you be recognized as a cool guy. Have a nice day!!!!!!!!

Shaving Tips And Secrets For Modern Guys

Is there any better way of obtaining a cool error free smooth shave? Believe it or not, but, there is a way by which you can obtain a better shave even with the most basic shaving equipment! Surprised? It is true though. The quality of your shave does not depend on your shaving set, but, it actually depends on you. Yup, you heard it right; it is you who decides the quality of your shave. All the leading companies which manufacture shaving products know this but still throw a piece of amazing statement in their endorsements which makes their customers heave a sigh of relief. Let us take the Gillette razors with the twin blades for example. The two blades give you a double stroke of shave with a single sweep, no doubt, but only if used in the right manner. It actually works out for those who have a very hard beard, because they need to shave the same place again and again in order to get a clean shave. Thus the twin blade comes in very handy for them. But, what about the strip of the slimy soap which is included behind the blades? Truly speaking it would have had been a bit sensible if they would have used it before the blades. This would make the skin a bit slippery thus making it easy to shave the beard without much difficulty. But it is placed at the end of the blade i.e. it is the blade which is encountered first and the slimy strip of soap is encountered afterwards. Well, did the company not think about this before designing? If you thought so you are absolutely wrong. We all know that those who use razors having double blades change their blades as soon as the strip is completely gone. And being an engineer I know this very well, that, it is the profit obtained from the implementation of a particular idea that the company is actually interested in. This actually implies that it is not the soap strip or the blade designing that changes the experience but it is your mind which believes that it is the tweaks in technology brought about by the manufacturer which are actually giving you a better shave.
Twin blades actually fascinate those who are shaving for the first time. Reason? :- safety. The chances of getting cut are a bit less. As untrained hands do not know how much pressure to apply using the new and sharp blades their chances of getting themselves cut are very high. This is minimized by the twin blade technology. So if you are a newbie to the shaving world please buy yourself a twin blade razor. It will definitely help you a lot. There are also ways using which you can avoid getting a rough skin due to shaving too often.

Whereas for the experienced hand the single blade razor is the best option. Reason? You must have seen the barber shops where they use the razors which use a single blade. Ever wondered why they did so. Think properly. With these razors we can shave with varying angles of the blade which is not possible with the twin blades because the angle of their blades is fixed. That is why the barbers find it very easy to shave others with the single blade razors. The reason is because you have full control over the razor. Thus the shave obtained is also perfect. The problem with twin blades is that if your beard grows too long, the hairs get stuck in the razor while you shave. This also makes it very inconvenient to shave, for those people who use upward strokes for getting a very clean shave. So you need to dip the razor every now and then in the water. Also, the upward stroke helps you, only if you have a soft beard. Another suggestion is to use hot water while you shave. When I say hot water I mean really very hot and boiling water (just make sure that you do not literally burn yourself while applying hot water to your skin). The hot water makes your beard soft, thus, making your shave easier. It also opens the pores while shaving thus making way for you to get a very clean and close shave. Another reason for using hot water is that it makes the blade a bit sharp and as soon as you dip the razor in water in order to rinse it, the foam in the razor comes up in the form of bubbles. These bubbles contain the hair which has been removed by the razor. Thus you do not need to wipe the blade again and again (this thing is especially true with single blade razors, if you are using a double blade razor, the chances are quite less).

And finally, not to forget a good after-shave. Don’t go for really costly ones. There is absolutely no reason for doing so. I use axe (which I find to be quite cool). The only thing that an after-shave really needs is some alcohol.

If you are a very busy guy and need to rush to the office with not so much time left for a cool shave go for the ready-made gel foams. This will help you elude from the tedious toil of rubbing your brush over your face again and again in order to get the lather. If you have the time you can definitely carry on with your very own favorite shaving cream this will save you some money. You get very good creams, gels and the ready gel foam from Gillette. Again do not opt for something very costly there is absolutely no reason to spend millions of rupees on your shaving set.

While shaving, always make sure that you do not cut yourself as far as possible. Shave gently and safely. Do not be too harsh with your skin. Do not forget to upgrade your razor blades at regular intervals. Remember the sharper the blade is, the better will be your shaving experience. Sharper blades give you a very cool shave without much effort. Also the burning experience will be much less. For those who are using single blade razor I would suggest you to go for 7 O clock blades if you have the buck to burn for it.

One more thing! I have seen guys keeping the after-shave on their faces all day long. Trust me this does not help. The most useful thing in the after-shave is the alcohol part, because, it helps in healing your wounds without leaving any scars behind. And as we all know that alcohol evaporates after some time. Thus the solution is useless after three to five minutes as the alcohol in it evaporates away. So rinse your face some three to five minutes after applying the solution. Later in order to protect your skin from direct exposure to the sun use some sunscreen cream like “Fair and Handsome”. This protects you from getting pimples on your face. It will also make your skin smooth and soft. Remember do not rub your skin hard with bare hands or a rough towel. This will give you small pimples on the face if you have a sensitive skin. After applying the cream try avoiding touching your face as far as possible. If you have an oily skin applying some talc over the cream would help. This will keep your skin balanced. Never forget applying some cream after you finish your shave, this will keep your skin soft and will protect it from direct exposure to sunlight, thus keeping your face fair and smooth. The cream will also add to the shine on your face and will make you feel perfect. Another advice I would like to give is shave once or twice a week. Everyday shaving makes your skin very rough. Anyhow keeping a little beard and moustaches has become the fashion statement nowadays.

And finally here you are with a very clean and perfect shave. In my words: “how do you feel with this cool shave bro?” They say a cool shave is something which makes a guy’s cheeks as soft as the child’s bu_t. I am sure that the above tips will definitely help you to get a cool shave. With these tips my friends have actually found shaving themselves to be a great fun. Hope the same shall be true with you. Have a nice day!!!!!!!!

Recession: Who is the Culprit?

It is we, the people, who are responsible for our own situation. Read on, to know how we can tackle this problem in a cool manner.

Morphius: Leo, do you believe in destiny?
Leo: No
Morphius: Why?
Leo: Because, I don’t like the idea of somebody else being in control of my life.

The above excerpt taken from the film “Matrix” tells us, why so many people are jobless today. The reason is because, they are lazy enough to write their own destiny. And hence, hand it over to somebody else, who can write it down for them. That’s exactly what has happened today. People have worked hard, obtained a degree, and handed over a blank diary of their future to the big companies, so that they can fill it in with whatever they like. They all did this by looking at the huge salary packages that they were offered. They did not even think that if the workers are getting such huge wages, then the profit that the company earns from these workers might also be so huge? No wonder, this is what makes the owners of Wipro and Infosys so rich.
You might be surprised to know that the foreigners are not as afraid as the Indians when it comes to recession problems. The reason is because they are thrust into the “earn your own living” world at a very tender age. There the kids earn their own pocket money. They will even work at a petrol pump and earn money with no sign of awkwardness on their faces. Hence, they are exposed very well to the business world, and know very well how to survive during these harsh recession times. They are quite practical. Say, a person has earned enough money in two years by working for a company and has successfully saved much of it. He is not going to wait for the company to throw him out, but, he himself will resign from the company and start his own business without thinking much about profit or loss. The reason why they can do this so easily is because they are hungry for money, and are equally ready in order to work hard so as to achieve the goals which are set in their minds. Indians are bothered about job security. They are bothered about monthly fixed payments. And hence when they are thrown out of jobs they will sit and wait till the companies put huge banners of recruitment again (with huge wages highlighted in them.)
This recession thing is actually a lesson well taught by God to man. A few days ago everybody was learning softwares in India and getting good software jobs. And a bride who would get a groom who is working as a software engineer in one of the most reputed companies around the world would be regarded as a very lucky girl. Now if a software engineer sends a proposal to some girl she will wait to see if a garage owner or mechanic’s proposal reaches her doorsteps. Such is the situation today, even then, there are many in the crowd, who still haven’t opened their eyes.
We are not yet listening to our hearts. Let me make myself clearer with the following example of a happy and successful person whom we all know very well and is one of our favorite stars. Sachin Tendulkar, the ace batsman from Mumbai, who has broken so many international records today. Why is it that he is so successful today? The reason is because cricket is not a job to him. It is his hobby. It is something that he likes above all the other things in this world. When he was young, they say that he did not focus much on his studies. He focused the most on cricket, because he had firmly taken the decision of his future. Even when he was sitting in his classroom he would look out of the window and enjoy the game of cricket that his friends were playing. His determination was so high, that, when he went to the stadium for practice, he would play continuously in the field till it was dark (leaving aside the two hours break he got during lunch time.) Now it is your turn to decide. Look back at yourself and ask your heart if there is anything it likes the most which can earn you a living. Is there anything in this world which never makes you tired, no matter how long you work on it? Ask this question and I am sure that you will smile back when you get the answer.
The problem with us Indians is that we are not taught to live our dreams. All of us live the dreams of our parents. There are many parents out there in the crowd who will tell their children to study well and get good marks in their examinations, but there are very few who will tell their children to achieve what they dream of. In trying what you want to do, you may fall for the first time. It will feel as if the whole world is against you. But do not stop. One day will come when all those who had laughed at you will stand and greet you for your success. For the first time when Walt Disney told his friend about his vision of the Mickey Mouse series, his friend laughed. But this did not stop him. He traveled towards the goal and reached it. Every successful man is successful today because he is doing what he like the most in this world. If you accept defeat at the first failure you are the greatest looser in this world. Failure is a challenge which has to be faced again and again till failure itself fails in front of you. Every time you fail, strike back like a wounded lion with attacks which are twice more fierce than the previous one.
As they say, there are two routes to the field of success. One is the route of a lift (the shortest and the easiest one). And the other is the route of the ladder (the one which is a slow yet steady, where you ascend or descend depending on your will and work). The route of the lift is the company which fools you by showing you huge wages for a job which is not so interesting. The ladder is the individual business which shows you success and failure depending on your work. If you are tired and cannot climb any further, doesn’t matter. You can rest for a while and continue later. But, what about the lift? If it fails you are stuck inside the chamber till the lift starts working again. So, it’s your choice. If you want to go by a ladder good, or else, the lift is open (not yet though- remember? recession is not yet over!)
Giving out huge payouts for a job is an excellent way for searching slaves. It is up to you to decide if you want to become the slave or the master. If a master earn less doesn’t matter. He is happy, because, there is nobody to command him. Moreover, he can do anything he likes! So, he is happy with his life and works very well. Whereas, the slave who is earning more than a master, is like a robot. His boss says something and he has to rush for it. Whatever he earns, he is still a slave. This fact cannot be denied.
This becomes clear when we read the following statement given by Bill Gates:
“My curricular activities were very poor and I had lots of backlogs in my studies. But today all the top students of all the top universities are working under me.” Hope that at least this will open your eyes. I don’t say that you should not work in companies at all. I just want to say- do what you like to do.

“Be what you want to be,
Do what your heart tells you to do,
Never listen to those, who underestimate you.
They are just a bunch of murmuring souls,
Who are trying to distract you.
Stay focused, and yours shall be done,
Success shall kiss your feet some day,
And then in the rain of success,
Thy shall dance and sing with joy,
Like a king who has conquered the whole world!”

Pimples Problem

I have a lot of pimples on my face. Please help me “Modern Trends”!!!

Well, that’s what we are here for. Many guys complain about pimple problems. I just tell them one simple thing: "Don’t worry about the pimples". Getting pimples is the sign of the onset of your maturity. I had pimples too and have overcome them using the Himalaya pimple cream. It is quite effective. Another cream you would like to consider in order to clear the scars of your pimples is the “Aloe Vera” cream, it should be available in medical shops. If you don’t get it even no-marks cream would play the trick for you. It isn’t the creams which are so important. It is your care which is even more important. Believe it or not, even washing your face with the flour of “besan” works very well. First precaution to be observed is- wash your face very cleanly. Do not rub your face hard with a towel to get rid of the boils. Gently dab your face with a soft towel. This reasonably decreases the number of pimples by a fair amount. Another thing is do not blast the pimples until and unless they are dry. Pimples are also caused due to the dandruff falling on your face from top your head. A slight dirt deposit on the pores will also cause a pimple at that place. A small piece of advice for people with a very oily and pimply face: please do not touch your skin as far as possible and avoid shaving your pimply face if the pimples are huge (this usually causes infections on your face). The more you touch your face the more will be the chances of the pores on your face getting blocked thus increasing your chances of getting pimples. And kindly do not use Dettol as an after-shave. It is as harsh as a toilet cleaner on your face. If you have a very oily and pimply face then buy yourself a trimmer or trim your beard and moustaches using a pair of scissors (if you are so desperate on not being able to buy a trimmer). This shall help you a lot. Shaving over your pimples will keep the pimples evergreen not allowing them to dry. Another very good and criminal method is to burst your pimples and pour a very good alcoholic after-shave into them. This shall pain a lot but it will definitely make clear its purpose when tried. If you are a bit swarthy a little bit of powder will suppress the visibility of the pimples and help you in maintaining a dry skin. You will definitely get a lot of suggestions on this topic. But the above tips are tried by me and found to be very helpful. Hope you will get rid of your pimples sooner than me.

Dull and Aged looking Skin

The reason why we look more dull than usual is because we adopt techniques which are modern and cumbersome. Seriously speaking, wearing torn jeans and sleeveless shirts is the major reason for these complaints. You cannot live like foreigners in India because “this is India”. The conditions and climates of our country are far more diverse as compared to those of the western countries. The sun in our country produces unbearable scorching heat, whereas, the sun available to the Europeans and also the Americans is not so harsh as to burn their skins. If you are a sports person in India you have to cover yourself with enough clothes so as to protect your skin from the scorching heat of the Indian sun.

Another good solution is to wear hats (not caps) during the summer when you walk out of your home. This protects your neck and face from the sun. Don’t believe the sunscreen creams and all those stupid things. They are meant for girls. They have absolutely no effect on the skin of males. Fair and handsome cream does help but only up to a certain limit. Make sure you do not have an oily skin if you want to apply it as a sunscreen lotion. Another major thing which affects the skin texture is your diet. Make sure that you eat food which is a rich source of vitamin C and E. These are very good anti-oxidants and will help keep your skin fresh and glowing. De-tanning treatments like peels with agents that suit your skin type can reduce the tan on your face and hands. Never forget to wear your sunglasses in summer if you do not use helmets while riding your bike. They help to keep the temperature of the rays reaching your eyes as low as possible thus giving your eyes a very soothe feeling. You can ask your doctor about anti-ageing treatments which will help you cope up with premature ageing.

Also do not forget to drink lots of juice and water during the summer. This keeps your skin balanced. Coconut water is a very good solution. Doctors used to tell these things before. But the doctors of today seem to be a lot more interested in money rather than their patients. One of your friends studying medicine can help you a lot with the diet part. Lemon juice and sugarcane juice are especially very helpful in these. Eating carrot and radish is also a good habit. Another very important thing to follow is to wear a banyan. Not wearing a banyan actually makes your skin dry, due to which its glow vanishes. The soft cotton cloth absorbs and dries your sweat. This also keeps you away from chest pains.

So summing it all up we come to two simple solutions. Wear enough clothes to protect yourself from the heat, and concentrate a little bit on your diet. That’s all for now, have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shri Ganesha Chaturthy

Shri ganesha is one of the most beloved deities of the Indians. Let us see what makes this deity, and, His festival so special……..

Of all the Indian deities, Shri Ganesha is the one who is prayed the first and foremost. There are lots of hidden secrets about this God which are unveiled in the Devi Mahatmyam. I read the Devi Mahatmyam and understood the following facts about Shri Ganesha.

Let us start with the story of the beginning of the universe. When the universe was first created by the Divine (the Aadishakti) She wanted to create a principle on the basis of which She could create the whole world. The Shakti who had finished Her long penance of Shri Shiva scrubbed the dirt which had accumulated on Her body and created a very wonderful child with it, Who had just one charka (energy centre) within him. This charka is called as the Mooladhara charka. This charka when enlightened within a person invokes the quality of innocence in him. The other quality which comes as a blessing from this charka is wisdom. It is this same wisdom which guides the conscience inside a man and gives him the power of discriminating between the right and the wrong. This charka is usually active inside a child. Thus it can be said that the person who has a very good Mooladhara charka has all the qualities of a wise child within him. That is why children are referred to as next to God in our country. As this deity was the first one to be created by the divine, He is always prayed first. No auspicious work or ceremony or Puja can be started without Him. It is on his basis and principle that we all are created.

There is no specific form of Shri Ganesha. There are various forms of Him praised in India. A few very well known forms are:
1. Buddhi Ganapati- the Ganapati with an excellent brain
2. Vidya Ganapati- the Ganapati of knowledge
3. Rudrapriya Ganapati- the Ganapati who likes Rudraksha (a natural decorating substance used by Male Deities), which is adored by His Father- Shri Shiva who is one of the eleven Rudras (Rudras are the fierce Gods who bring about destruction throughout the universe when in a very fierce fit of anger).
4. Vighneshwara Ganapati- the Ganapati who destroys all the obstacles of His devotees.
5. Riddhi Ganapati- the Ganapati who gives Riddhi (wealth).
6. Siddhi Ganapati- the Ganapati who gives Siddhi (achievements in penances).
7. Bal Ganapati- the Ganapati who bestows the qualities of a child upon His devotees. And so on…………….

The list is very huge, but the above ones are the most widely known ones. Shri Ganesha has four hands. One of his hands holds a Goad, and the other three have a snake, a bowl filled with modak (sweets) and a Pot. He is also shown having a pink lotus in one of His hands. This pink lotus signifies the quality of love which is free of lust as found in a child.

The pot in the hand of Ganesha is nothing but the Ghata (Pitcher) which is filled with the creative desires of God. The snake represents the Kundalini- a coiled serpent of energy, which resides in our sacrum bone. The goad is His weapon. And, as he is a very sweet child, He is very fond of sweets. His large head symbolizes wisdom, understanding and a discriminating intellect. The wide mouth represents the natural human desire to enjoy life. The large ears signify that a perfect person is someone who has a capacity to listen to others and assimilate the ideas. The trunk relates to the power of the human mind which must be strong enough to face the ups and downs in ones life and yet be delicate enough to explore the subtle realms of the inner spirit. The two tusks denote the two aspects of human personality- wisdom and emotion. The right tusk (the larger one) represents wisdom and the left one (the broken one) represents emotion. When we sync these we understand that we have to overcome our emotions using our wisdom. The eyes are blue, which is the color of witness. i.e. we have to look at the things around us as a witness without reacting towards them. This helps us maintain inner peace and balance. Also elephant eyes makes the things around them appear a bit larger than what they actually are. This teaches us that no matter however big we are, in terms of wealth and wisdom, we should never underestimate the smaller people and perceive them to be bigger than what they actually are. That is, one should surrender ones pride and attain humility.

Such is the significance of this elephant faced God who is an eternal child of the Aadishkti. Another very good quality of Shri Ganesha is that He is not afraid of anybody as he is just a child. And as he is a very surrendered child, He respects and follows everything that His mother says. He is very obedient and sees all the deities in this world inside His mother. It is on this same Ganesha principle that the human beings are created. That is why a newly born child is considered to be next to divine. The shine in their loving eyes denote the love of a child towards His mother. It is the same reason why children always do small-small things so as to grab the attention of their mothers. Also during the festival of Ganesha Chaturthi observing fast isn’t a very good idea. As this beautiful deity is a child, and has a fat stomach which denotes satisfaction and happiness, it is better to eat sufficient food and stay happy. Imagine a God coming to your house and seeing that you are staying hungry in His name! He will definitely not like it. Eat snacks but eat till you are completely satisfied. God likes to see his devotees happy and filled with joy.

Hope that the above article will make clear the significance of this great deity in our very own lives. Have a nice day. Jay Ganesh………

Freelancer

Many of us have heard the word “freelancing and freelancer”. Who are these guys who are called as freelancers and what do they do? How do they earn? Why are they considered to be so cool? Can you also become a free ancer? Read on to find out what our group of engineers explored about freelancers and freelancing.

We had a very tiring day at the college. As we were very tired we decided to go to our friend Sutej,s house, rest there for a while and later continue our journey towards our homes. We went to his house and found that his room was open. We walked in. Sutej was not there. We sat in the room for a while and took some rest by leaning towards the wall. My friend Sutej suddenly broke into the room with a very good and interesting topic to discuss. He spoke about his uncle, who worked for nobody and yet earned quite handsomely from the unique photographs which he captured and edited using Photoshop. He never worked for a fixed amount of time per day as most of the officials do. He was a guy who had detained in his studies and was thrown out of college because of his huge list of pending subjects. His uncle never took his life seriously (that’s what we concluded from the above facts, but later we found out that we were absolutely wrong). He started working instantaneously and gained enough success in the field of photography by working under an expert photographer for a period of five months. Later he set sails with a business of his own. All the money he had earned by working for his boss was invested into a very good camera. I quickly understood that his uncle was a freelancer in photography.

The way Sutej described the lifestyle of his freelancer uncle, we became extremely impressed and curious to meet him. Luckily, his uncle got bored by the climate and came upstairs in order to meet Sutej. Then onwards a completely new story started :the story of freelancers and freelancing. The moment his uncle entered the room our friend Sutej started the introduction part. His freelancer uncle was quite surprised to know that I was also doing the same thing which he was doing: freelancing. He asked me, if I had a web-site of my own? I nodded my head denoting a no. He suggested me to buy some space and start blogging. He said that it would earn me more money and would make things look professional.

Many of my friends were not interested in freelancing till now, They were book worms who were interested in studying well and getting good jobs. Hence they were quite insular to such topics. They never understood what we were so proud and excited about. When Sutej’s uncle looked at the blank faces of my friends he understood the situation and hence revised the topic of freelancing jobs with a small introduction so that nobody shall stay aloof in the conversation.

First of all, he spoke about the very different and carefree life he was living as a freelancer: No boss to scold you, order you, tell you what you have to do, etc. A world where you can live as and how you like. A world which is completely your’s. A world where there is no boss. A world where you are the king and there is nobody else in and around to advise you or give you orders. A place where there is complete freedom. A place where you can earn as much as you like, with no restrictions whatsoever. Slowly my friends started realizing the world of freelancing with their blank faces turning into smiling faces.

All my friends were interested in the earning part. Where does the money come from? How does a freelancer earn? And it was at this point that we understood how hard it is to become a freelancer and earn ones daily bread and butter living. Sutej’s uncle started off with a huge laugh. He said that the money earned by the freelancer depends directly upon the quality of his work. Mr. Manu (his name) told us about how he got into the real business world as a free lancer. He was doing freelancing photography for a long time (one year) and was posting his freelancing photographs on the website- Flickr.com. His photographs seemed very dull to him when he compared his work with that of the expert freelancer photographers. Later he got acquainted with a very good photographer called David at Orkut who was also earning as a freelancer. He chatted with Mr. David for a while and understood his own shortcomings. The reason why the photographs of the other freelancer photographers looked so great was because they were edited by them again and again using Photo editing softwares till the desired picture was obtained. In fact he came to know that many a photographs which showed the reflection of the objects in the water reservoirs were made using Adobe Photoshop. Now the freelancer journey of Mr. Manu actually started. He took a book of Adobe Photoshop and started experimenting with the various photographs taken by him. All these freelance photographs were pasted by him at Flickr. He found that the response he was getting now was far more better than the previous ones as a free lancer.

One fine morning this freelancer got an email from an executive of one of the leading companies of the world telling him that the company wanted to buy a few photographs of his, and also wanted him to take a few snapshots for the company endorsements. And then the real adventure began in the life of this freelancer. He got a very good breakthrough and a very good payment for his work.

We were all looking at those smiling eyes which spoke of his unlimited happiness of those times. A few months later he had started getting offers from foreign companies who wanted a freelancer photographer to do their work efficiently and at a reasonable cost. Mr. Manu had by now hired a web-designer and database managing engineer to look after his website which had his collection of unique and mind blowing photographs in it. He does not earn much through the site. The site is just an advertisement which shows his photography skills. So if anybody searches for a photographer on the web they should be able to see his site which showed his best photographs ever taken.

We were all very excited to become such freelancers who are demanded on an international platform. And my journey has already started as a young and enthusiastic writer who has the confidence of winning thousands of hearts with the help of his writings. I agree that there is a lot more that is still unlearnt. But this small fact shall not stop me from reaching my aim. Let us all try out some free-lancing business at some point in our life and see how we withstand the blow of the international competition. Have a nice day as a freelancer !!!!!!!!!

Fed up of scars and post-pimple marks?

Read along as our experts hunt for the solution to decrease the left over scars and acne marks on your face

We all come across complaints like I am a boy of twentyfour and had many pimples, the pimples have now faded away, but have left their non-healing marks behind. Well, first of all let me tell you there is nothing in this world which is called as non-healing. There is a solution for every small little thing on this earth. It is just that you need to hunt for the right solution in the right direction. After going through a few sites I finally came across with a solution for the cool guys of my web-site to become a bit more cooler. The reason why these marks are left behind is very simple. If you burst your pimples with your nails the dirt of your nails enters into the pores thus making it look like a dark spot on your face. This is one reason. The other reason is that the infection gets decomposed into a dark substance and is left inside the pores and leaves behind a dark spot on your face. The scars might also be formed due to cuts created while shaving your face over the pimples. The solution to this problem is to clean the pores on your face using a pore cleanser. There are many pore cleansers available in the market. I will not recommend one as the variety varies along with the variation in the areas. Just make sure that the company which has manufactured the product should be a reputed cosmetic industry.

Now comes the real part of the play. What does a pore cleanser do? Well as the name itself suggests, it cleanses the pores of your face. Apply the solution to your face using cotton swabs and later rinse your face with clean water (please note this is just a general procedure. Take a look at the instructions given by the manufacturer for better results). I generally recommend hot water during this process. The reason is quite simple- it opens up the pores of your face thus making it easy for the cleanser to reach the deepest part of the pores thus giving you a very clean and fresh face. Another solution is the facial scrub. It is advised to use the pore cleanser after you shave. Later you can finish the procedure with the application of a good after shave. The scrub should be used once in a week. The scrub actually removes the dead cells on your face thus making way for producing fresh cells on your face. It also helps improve the circulation of blood in your face. Please note that the above solutions work for those who have already lost pimples. So work your way through and enjoy the results. Good bye. Have a nice day!!!!!!!!!
