ISRO the Indian Space Research Organization makes the Indians proud by showing its advancements and improvements in the space research field. Indians were the first ones to have proved that the surface of the moon is not overheated and dried due to the sun’s heat which was a misconception ruling many human brains!
With so many satellites launched India is still having a budget which is only 1/20th the budget used by the American Government for the satellite launching organizations. And yet, India has moved a step further by showing the involvement of the IIT students of Kanpur and Mumbai in the improvement in the design of the nano and pico satellites.
With all these advancements India is now witnessing a good weather forecast. With the help of satellites it has become possible for the infrastructure management department to view the advancement in the road constructions of India. India is also witnessing too many TV channels as a byproduct of these powerful satellites which are revolving around the earth all the time. And not to forget the GPS system which we are using on our mobiles to help us when we seem to have been misguided in our directions.
Indian satellites are strong enough to capture good quality photographs of the earth surface and help the Indians stay updated with useful predictable information. A fisherman can now know the places where water reservoirs are present. The banks are also relying heavily on the satellites to stay connected 24x7 with the latest changes in the accounts of their customers. ATM’s are also depending on the satellites to maintain their database and also register the transaction occurred with the respective bank.
In fact India is one of the most qualified Asian countries when it comes to satellite designing and launching. The news that IIT Kanpur’s project satellite Jugnu (a small nano satellite) has been approved and that the satellite will be launching in a month or two makes the Indian’s proud of its educational heritage than ever before. The students were also awarded an international award “Hans Von Muldau” from the International Astronautical Federation for their contribution in the project.
