A Technical "Dream Gadget"

We are seeing so many gadgets blossoming in the autumn of this technical world. But what will be the face of the future gadget which will be seen by the next generation kids. What will be the future of this tug of war competition? What will be the gadget which will satisfy the needs of the generation yet to come? Let us see what can be foretold about the gadget of the future.

The first thing which is yet to create a great difference in our gadget-o-pedia is nanotechnology. We have already seen a few unique models exhibiting a spy camera the size of a grain of rice. It is all about compactness and portability. People are expecting to see high performance gadgets which will be so compact that one should not even recognize the presence of that gadget in their pockets. My dream gadget is anyhow quite unique (as I call it).

The next generation kids will have the power of a normal computer stuffed into their wrist watches. Remember the GPS system embedded in a wrist watch as shown in spy kids? Well this is what the gadgets of the future will bring to us. A 3D display will serve the purpose of a monitor. And the device should be controlled using a technology called as pattern recognition in which soft computing techniques will be implemented. In this technique a computer can be controlled using face gestures. This gadget will use your eye gestures to move the mouse around the screen. A very beautiful thing which can be used to run a program will be double blinking of the eyes. A double blink will serve the purpose of double click as in the case of our mouse. And if you want to drag something you blink one eye to hold the element and throw it wherever desired by releasing your closed eye. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful ting to play around with?

But, what about the keyboard? I would suggest a speech recognition system which will detect our speech and convert it into words. This is not quite difficult to achieve and was supposed to be working on our desktops with the release of Windows Vista. But the external sound interferes with the audio input and you end up with unwanted results because of the presence of noise in the input signal. An easier way of eliminating these disturbances would be to design a system which would detect the distance from which the sound is being emitted. Sounds emitted from a farther distance should be filtered off. In this manner only those inputs which are given by the user will be taken into account.

But what about those software engineers who will be working for hours together in the software industries? Well there is no way that the comfort of a keyboard can be missed out under such circumstances. After all, you do not want an industry with a bunch of Engineers whispering something into their devices all day long. But one possible way of getting a portable keyboard is to use a projector which will display a keyboard (this technology already exists).

For storage, a new invention is said to bring discs which will be able to hold nearly one TB of data on it. Which means that, you can store all your HD movies on a single DVD, and also lose all of them at the same time with the invisibility of a single disc. But for a smaller device like a wrist watch definitely a smaller disc (which will be able to store nearly 100GB of data on it) can be used.

I wonder if I will be able to use any fan on this one. But instead I think some ventilation system along with a heat sink can be used. Charging on the go can definitely be implemented by using shoes which will generate electricity as we walk along the road.

Did I leave something? Of course: the Internet. Just like the mobiles of today this thing should be able to give you a 4G connection to surf around the web and a large display screen projected out which will help you watch a major part of the webpage without the need of using a joystick to move the page around. Closing one eye and lifting your head should move the page upwards.

And, the greatest plus point is that you wont even need a pen drive! All you need to do is turn the Bluetooth on and transfer whatever data is required.

The GPS will be really fun to play around with, as you will be able to see a 3D map with arrow marks pointing towards your destination. I would make some settings in order to use the available sunrays and convert them into useful electric power with the help of a powerful solar battery.

So how did you like my dream gadget? Do not forget to leave your comment behind. Have a nice day!!!!!!!
