Buying A Netbook

We are seeing a new range of computers called as “Netbooks” which are used extensively for internet browsing. But I doubt this trend lasting for a longer time.

A computer which is an enlarged Smart phone and a compressed notebook and is used to surf over the World Wide Web has shown its new face to the society and is expected to make some difference in the markets. But I personally feel that there is no reason to buy this thing unless you are a journalist or someone likely who roams a lot and needs a PC to connect to the Internet wherever he goes.

But the mobile market is very strong and the browsing speed that you get from the internet using a mobile phone is just incredible. The launch of 3G will definitely bring about great changes in the mobile market. It has been observed that many people have decided to go for a 3G set once and for all. But what is the use of a netbook over a laptop or mobile. But the companies who are producing them are not fools and have launched the product after doing a considerable amount of market research. There are a few things which make these things quite unique. Their advantages are:

· Good connectivity options.
· Good browsing performance.
· Light in weight.
· Supports multimedia.
· Has a good battery life.

Truly speaking, it is the battery life of these gadgets which makes them quite unique. A battery life of around six to eight hours is ideal for those people who need to stay connected on the go and need a wider screen to avoit the scrolling problems that are encountered while browsing a web page on your mobile screen. The Netbooks can do everything that a mobile phone can possibly do.

All you need to do is plug your sim card into the slot and get going for a roller coaster ride across the World Wide Web. These things are really very slim and stylish. They use an Atom processor and are good to play videos if and only if the screen size is small. The performance difference will be quite evident if you will take a look at the video playback in full screen mode on a wide screen Netbook. Don’t even think of playing a HD movie in the full screen mode on such a thing. All you will see is a few snapshots which have a wide time gap between them. This will make your movie seem like a photo album viewed using Picasso. You would not want that to happen if you are a movie buff. The Netbook performs pretty well when you are browsing a website and playing a song in the background at the same time. The speed is quite good, but, if you want you-tube videos, be careful while choosing your Net wings. The Sony Vaio P has a great style statement and is ideal for style aficionados. The Netbooks do not have a snappy interface and are no slouch to put a snail behind. The booting process takes a longer time and requires you to put it in the hibernation mode in order to save the boot-up time. Overall it is to be taken only if you want to have a separate notebook just for browsing the internet, or, if you want something with a larger battery life so that you need not search for a plug wherever you go. Or else you may go with the mobiles with a wider screen having a touch screen interface just like Nokia N97 or something likely.
