Work From Home Job

Many Engineers of Bangalore are now looking out for the work from home jobs. Recession seems to be hitting India at any moment. Most of the software employees are all the time busy with their laptops trying to get some work from home opportunity.

There are a few work from home jobs which are very prominent in the public. One of them being the data entry job. The sad part of the story is: There are too many such jobs on the internet which ask you for an initial investment. And you never know if it is the best one or not,

the next best work from home opportunity is to build a blog and earn from the ads. This is very risky for you never know when the ad company will sack you for no reasons known to you. The best part is: you cannot sue them for you do not know the reason for which they have sacked you. The guy who claims to be the original creator of Facebook had once successfully sued Google for a few 600 bucks which Google had refused to pay to him.

Any more work from home opportunities? There are: internet marketing! This is the most boring stuff online and it does not involve much creativity but a little bit of marketing skills. Blogging is by far the best option but setting up a blog, optimizing it, signing up with ad agencies is a real headache which people love to avoid as far as possible. Moreover getting the content for a blog is a very big headache. But, if you love it it s the best hobby you can look out for in this world.

Commanding Managers Never Win

Many managers feel that it is a good commander who is needed to make the ship of business run smoothly. But your employees are not servants. Instead, they are respectable people, and, this fact has to be understood by the managing directors. Shouting at others while sitting inside the carriage is quite easy. But when the time comes to hold the reins you will understand how coping and susceptible your workers are!

Many managing directors have stated the ill-effects of being strict and harsh towards their employees. First of all the mutual understanding and respect that you deserve will be lost. The creativity of your employees will be suppressed. Pressure will not make your workers give their best performance instead their stress levels will become very high and they will not be able to work with their full potential.

But the managers also have their own pressures which are thrown on them by the higher board of directors share holders and many others. The product has to be prepared and finished well before the submission dates. And then there will be testing and tweaking to make sure that the product does not lack quality while fighting with the limitations put forth by time. it is also a well known fact that a manager has to be commanding or else the employees will take things way too easy.

I had recently been to a hospital where the staff taking care of the supplies was happily doing the job given without letting any chances of complaints. The actual force which kept the spirits of the staff members high was the manager. There were jokes and things which did not make the staff feel as if it was doing a job. There was so much of mutual respect and coordination in the work that I was just wondering if I was seeing a dream or something likely. Whatever the work given by the manager, the staff just rushed forward and finished the work assigned in just no time. But what made these employees so active and joyful. It was the manager. I took my time to ask him about the various things that made his staff so active and joyful.

The first thing that he said was “There should be mutual coordination between the employees and the manager. A manager should be patient enough to listen to his staff members’ complaints and solve the conflicts which arise among the members of the staff during hectic schedules. The working of a company is nothing different than the working of an Indian household. The manager should make sure that the employees look at each other as members of the same family working together for the uplifting of an institution. The manager is the head of the family and the members have to discuss and settle several matters with him as all the important decisions of the institution lie in the hands of the manager.” When the employees work with such an intention in their mind there is a mutual respect among the employees for each other and they feel happy to work. Let us take a look at the following story:

John is a very strict manager. He is stubborn and nothing can make him happy. He is never satisfied with the work of his staff no matter how well it is done. Jack is a clerk in John’s office. All the staff members like Jack for his social and responsible behavior. He is regular at work and is the oldest member working at John’s office. Everybody communicate their ideas to the manager through Jack. The temperament of John did not leave many members to stay up to his expectations. One day Jack is given a very big assignment and the submission date is very near. Jack worked for too long and made the report ready within the allotted time. Jack went to the manager with red eyes and a smile on his face thinking that John would become very happy to know that he had completed the tremendous task within the time specified. He entered the cabin and submitted his report. But to his utter surprise John said, “Okay, you can go now.” Jack was waiting for an opportunity like this one. While leaving the room Jack turned back and said, “Did you say something?” John said, “No.” Jack said,”Oh! I thought you said thank you, well done.” And this incident changed the attitude of John from then onwards.

I had read the above story while I was in high school and I took my privilege to tell this story to my audience today. There was no other way I could have concluded this article. I hope the above story will make you understand what attitude actually means. Have a nice day!!!!!!!!!

Do a job or be an Entrepreneur

Many MBA students choose to start their professional lives with a business. But Engineers highly rely on campus placements to start their careers. What are the trends that the youth of today are following? What impact does the ‘recession period’ have on the minds of the youngsters of today? Modern Trends team went around and asked the students to give their reviews on this topic. Read on to reveal the secrets in the young minds.

First of all let me divide this topic into two categories. Of which, one shall speak about the insight of Engineers, and, the other shall tell you about the insight of MBA students on this topic. Let us see what the MBA students have got for us:

Many MBA students pursue their studies in MBA after completing a degree, just because they are not satisfied with their basic degree. But there are some interesting students who think of big things and are ready to take big challenges in their lives and face all the problems that will try to block their path of success. Some of these students never bother about job opportunities, but, their talent in the field of business is worth appreciating. These MBA students have carved their future for themselves and have decided not to depend on any company to get their jobs. As they are MBA students they have a basic idea about the market and know the hardships dealt by the company and its workers during difficult times. They do not want to depend on anybody for their salary hikes. The basic idea of joining a MBA college in most of the cases was to reap huge cash out of some business. Some of them plan to become a chartered accountant (it was the first preference in most of the MBA students). In our survey we found that almost 90 to 95% of all the MBA students are willing to set up their own business. Some also spoke about a network marketing plan which they wanted to execute. I am sorry to say that most of the MBA students were found playing around with network marketing business where one gets some commission for making a list of members to join the network. Making money is quite easy but it should be for the benefit of the society. This is what I feel but none of the students agreed with me. I would sincerely suggest the people reading this topic to keep themselves out of this field. Work hard and reap harder is my slogan. I don’t know about others’ opinion, but my opinion on this topic is never going to change. It is innovation which brings fame to a person’s life. It was quite surprising to find out that even these Business aficionados were afraid of recession, whereas, in the actual sense they are the ones who should come forward during such times and try to stabilize the economy of the nation. Many MBA students were also interested in stocks despite the quakes created on the same topic by their parents. It was found that most of the parents were afraid of their children becoming a stock broker. Reason? They (the parents) would have to pay for the losses brought to others by their child. Some MBA students (about forty percent) were found to be ex-perimenting with shares while pursuing their studies. They believe that this gives them a better idea about the market, which is essential for a MBA student. Very few spoke about accountancy. They think that this subject and job is quite boring. Moreover nobody studies MBA to become a clerk. And hence we concluded the response of the MBA students in short as: No job only business!

Now, coming to the engineers. Luckily not many engineers were found fiddling around with the network marketing business. The most popular one in India is called E-Biz. It was not surprising for me to find out that all the highly ranked students wanted to have a job, whereas those who did not have a chance of even peeking into a company interview were found to be trying to establish some sort of a business. Some were learning hardware and networking, whereas some tried their luck in shares and investments. Some were found to be busy doing research about the various businesses that a freshly passed out engineer could do. And some were found scratching their head trying to learn some softwares. But, as I said, the first preference that all the Engineers had in their mind was to get a job. Some are still in the trend of two years working to get experience and many others (who are confused rather) are willing to pursue their higher studies. Some were speaking MS and some twittered about M.Tech in an reputed IIT college. The Engineers were completely opposite to the MBA students. Over ninety five percent of the Indian Engineering students are still amused with the idea of getting jobs. It seems that the youngsters are not still aware about the recession menace. But it was found that around twenty percent of the low percentage students had great ideas in their minds which they wanted to exercise after passing out of the college. And trust me their ideas are really very innovative. One of the major reasons why the engineers are so much fascinated about jobs is because of their parents. All the parents want their engineer children to join big companies, but none of them want their children to open big companies? Would we see Infosys today if its founder would get a job in a good IT company? Definitely not! I would suggest every Indian to take a look at the life of Mr. Bill Gates. He was passionately interested in softwares. His father wanted him to become a lawyer (like him). But the passionate child who started off with writing small software codes went around designing new OS platforms and became the richest man of the world for almost a decade! The reason why Engineers are given such high packages by the companies is because they do not want the fresh talents to become their competition. But the engineers are found to lose the point. It was actually found that the reason why some students scored so less in their academic exams was not because they were dumb or something likely, but instead, because they spent a considerable amount of time reading things that they were interested in. These students had ended up into the wrong branches and hence could not concentrate on their prescribed syllabuses. Learning hacking fascinates many Engineers even today. and many such previous cases have shown us great Engineers of all times.moreover it was found that it job which was the keyword that came out of every engineer’s mind.

I personally feel that job is useful to get exposed to the international market. Later it is just business and business. Small-small steps take us to a bigger future. Try it. I am sure it will be great fun. Do not forget to put your vote. Have a nice day!!!!!

Institutes And Careers In Animation Industry

There are many students who are eagerly looking forward for a great career in the animation industry, but are clueless about the opportunities that are available in this field. I spent hours and hours trying to find matter related to the above topic but ended up with web pages which were either endorsements or a few paragraphs written in order get an higher ranking in the Search Engines. And finally after sorting everything out I came up with the following information.

There are many animation training institutes which will teach you the basics and also the cutting edge facts about animation. But before doing these courses it is better to take a look at the picture which you show you your future in this field. Type any phrase related to animation and its scope. All you are going to end up with are millions of web pages which have nothing to say but almost every animation institute to endorse. I finally went through a few magazines in my house to find the scope of animation in recent times.

1. History: Everything from “Mickey Mouse” to “2012” is the fruit obtained after drawing millions and millions of sketches. I will not tell you everything in much detail but I will definitely cover everything in sufficient detail. Animation is nothing but a series of photographs taken at different instants, shown one after the other in a short span of time in such a manner that it seems as if the characters in the photographs are moving as in real life. You will be surprised to know that the birth of animation dates back to the times when the “Ajanta And Ellora” caves were built! You will be able to see a series of pictures written one after the other in the caves which showed the position of various things changing with respect to time in them. When you run along the wall of the cave and look at the wall you will see what the creators wanted to show you. Let me tell you a few amazing things using which even you will be able to do some simple and interesting animations for yourself.

2. Procedure: Take a Digital Camera and go to some open space where the rising sun will be clearly visible. Now take a stand or stool or anything which will be able to hold your camera in a still position. Your camera should not move even a millimeter’s span from its place. Now focus the camera to the position from where the sun is rising. Let us say that the sun takes eight minutes to rise. We need at least twenty frames to be flipped per second in order to come up with a continuous film. So if we want to show the sun rise within two seconds we will need to shoot a minimum of forty to fifty frames. Divide the time into equal segments and take the still photographs at different moments. If I take forty still shots then I will need to take five photographs per minute. I.e. I need to take one photograph in every twelve seconds. Now throw all these frames into a movie maker software. Define the time between two frames and the number of frames per second as per your convenience. Now play the film and you will be able to see an eight minute’s sunrise within two seconds. To double the time there is an option in the movie maker which will slow down the rate at which the frames are switching. This is better as compared to taking eighty photographs in order to get a little bit more refined film. The difference will not be so evident though. In this manner you can show the blooming of flowers and many other snail-paced movements in a shorter span of time. This is almost like stop motion animation, though stop motion animation is a slightly different procedure. You take a car place it at different positions and take the photographs. Throw the photographs into a movie making software. And then you end up with a film showing a racing car running at a blazing speed. You can later add the sound effects as per your convenience.

3. Jobs For Freshers: The greatest of all animation films are done using the same theme. In some films three dimensional characters are created (after seeing the drawings of the artists). And these 3D pictures are projected onto a 2D plane. These movies are the outcome of the individual and team efforts of a group of hundreds or maybe even thousands of animation experts. Now did you understand the scope of animation? But what about the freshers? How can the freshers earn? The novices are not selected for such huge projects right at once. The novices need to work for small advertising agencies or industries in the endorsement filming sector. The battle is tougher at the beginning. But once you get through this, you will be sent to far off places on the behalf of your company taking your reputation into consideration. You do not join this work for the sake of money. Time has revealed that only enthusiastic people who have a great zeal to create good animations are more successful in this field. So think before you leap. You can also work for the gaming industries as an animation novice. But the greatest hurdle is to show your own individual work to the recruiters in order to show your talent and enthusiasm in this field. It has been a proved fact that many engineers and art students can become really great animators. In this field you need to work for a small package at the beginning. If everything goes well, you will find yourself bathing in millions and millions of rupees or may be even dollars! Step in, only if you are interested in the working part and not the money part. Professionals strive for achieving excellence. Money is a byproduct of your hard work at least in this field.

4. Institutes: As far as I know all the institutes are good but it is better to go for the best known ones like ANTS even if they are a bit costlier than the others. In this field your institution also plays an important role of telling the recruiter about the skills that you are equipped with.

5. Courses And Jobs: There are different courses in animation institutes each with its own unique price tag. So choose your package very carefully. Web animation is not so useful unless you need to design the web pages of your own private website. Learn Cascading Style Sheets and a little bit of HTML if you want to bring up your own site on the internet. You may also learn 3D animation but you will not be selected in big projects if you are not much talented hence it is a better option to become a 2D animation expert rather than becoming a 3D half-baked egg. But one thing surely drives me crazy. The lifestyle of these guys! A few beautiful sketches and the huge cheques point towards your bank account number. Sounds cool doesn’t it. But the efforts put in by the animators are just worth the fruit they are rewarded with. So this was all about the scope of animation. Hope your thirst is now quenched a little bit. The scope of animation is really very good. Thousands of animators are needed in the animation industry and the statistics are showing a rise in the demand for animators in the upcoming years. The only thing you need is a passionate heart that just loves this job. And then, the whole world is in your hands. For more information you may consult the training institutions. Do not forget to leave a reply if you have a bit more information on animation.

Recession: Who is the Culprit?

It is we, the people, who are responsible for our own situation. Read on, to know how we can tackle this problem in a cool manner.

Morphius: Leo, do you believe in destiny?
Leo: No
Morphius: Why?
Leo: Because, I don’t like the idea of somebody else being in control of my life.

The above excerpt taken from the film “Matrix” tells us, why so many people are jobless today. The reason is because, they are lazy enough to write their own destiny. And hence, hand it over to somebody else, who can write it down for them. That’s exactly what has happened today. People have worked hard, obtained a degree, and handed over a blank diary of their future to the big companies, so that they can fill it in with whatever they like. They all did this by looking at the huge salary packages that they were offered. They did not even think that if the workers are getting such huge wages, then the profit that the company earns from these workers might also be so huge? No wonder, this is what makes the owners of Wipro and Infosys so rich.
You might be surprised to know that the foreigners are not as afraid as the Indians when it comes to recession problems. The reason is because they are thrust into the “earn your own living” world at a very tender age. There the kids earn their own pocket money. They will even work at a petrol pump and earn money with no sign of awkwardness on their faces. Hence, they are exposed very well to the business world, and know very well how to survive during these harsh recession times. They are quite practical. Say, a person has earned enough money in two years by working for a company and has successfully saved much of it. He is not going to wait for the company to throw him out, but, he himself will resign from the company and start his own business without thinking much about profit or loss. The reason why they can do this so easily is because they are hungry for money, and are equally ready in order to work hard so as to achieve the goals which are set in their minds. Indians are bothered about job security. They are bothered about monthly fixed payments. And hence when they are thrown out of jobs they will sit and wait till the companies put huge banners of recruitment again (with huge wages highlighted in them.)
This recession thing is actually a lesson well taught by God to man. A few days ago everybody was learning softwares in India and getting good software jobs. And a bride who would get a groom who is working as a software engineer in one of the most reputed companies around the world would be regarded as a very lucky girl. Now if a software engineer sends a proposal to some girl she will wait to see if a garage owner or mechanic’s proposal reaches her doorsteps. Such is the situation today, even then, there are many in the crowd, who still haven’t opened their eyes.
We are not yet listening to our hearts. Let me make myself clearer with the following example of a happy and successful person whom we all know very well and is one of our favorite stars. Sachin Tendulkar, the ace batsman from Mumbai, who has broken so many international records today. Why is it that he is so successful today? The reason is because cricket is not a job to him. It is his hobby. It is something that he likes above all the other things in this world. When he was young, they say that he did not focus much on his studies. He focused the most on cricket, because he had firmly taken the decision of his future. Even when he was sitting in his classroom he would look out of the window and enjoy the game of cricket that his friends were playing. His determination was so high, that, when he went to the stadium for practice, he would play continuously in the field till it was dark (leaving aside the two hours break he got during lunch time.) Now it is your turn to decide. Look back at yourself and ask your heart if there is anything it likes the most which can earn you a living. Is there anything in this world which never makes you tired, no matter how long you work on it? Ask this question and I am sure that you will smile back when you get the answer.
The problem with us Indians is that we are not taught to live our dreams. All of us live the dreams of our parents. There are many parents out there in the crowd who will tell their children to study well and get good marks in their examinations, but there are very few who will tell their children to achieve what they dream of. In trying what you want to do, you may fall for the first time. It will feel as if the whole world is against you. But do not stop. One day will come when all those who had laughed at you will stand and greet you for your success. For the first time when Walt Disney told his friend about his vision of the Mickey Mouse series, his friend laughed. But this did not stop him. He traveled towards the goal and reached it. Every successful man is successful today because he is doing what he like the most in this world. If you accept defeat at the first failure you are the greatest looser in this world. Failure is a challenge which has to be faced again and again till failure itself fails in front of you. Every time you fail, strike back like a wounded lion with attacks which are twice more fierce than the previous one.
As they say, there are two routes to the field of success. One is the route of a lift (the shortest and the easiest one). And the other is the route of the ladder (the one which is a slow yet steady, where you ascend or descend depending on your will and work). The route of the lift is the company which fools you by showing you huge wages for a job which is not so interesting. The ladder is the individual business which shows you success and failure depending on your work. If you are tired and cannot climb any further, doesn’t matter. You can rest for a while and continue later. But, what about the lift? If it fails you are stuck inside the chamber till the lift starts working again. So, it’s your choice. If you want to go by a ladder good, or else, the lift is open (not yet though- remember? recession is not yet over!)
Giving out huge payouts for a job is an excellent way for searching slaves. It is up to you to decide if you want to become the slave or the master. If a master earn less doesn’t matter. He is happy, because, there is nobody to command him. Moreover, he can do anything he likes! So, he is happy with his life and works very well. Whereas, the slave who is earning more than a master, is like a robot. His boss says something and he has to rush for it. Whatever he earns, he is still a slave. This fact cannot be denied.
This becomes clear when we read the following statement given by Bill Gates:
“My curricular activities were very poor and I had lots of backlogs in my studies. But today all the top students of all the top universities are working under me.” Hope that at least this will open your eyes. I don’t say that you should not work in companies at all. I just want to say- do what you like to do.

“Be what you want to be,
Do what your heart tells you to do,
Never listen to those, who underestimate you.
They are just a bunch of murmuring souls,
Who are trying to distract you.
Stay focused, and yours shall be done,
Success shall kiss your feet some day,
And then in the rain of success,
Thy shall dance and sing with joy,
Like a king who has conquered the whole world!”

Freelancer

Many of us have heard the word “freelancing and freelancer”. Who are these guys who are called as freelancers and what do they do? How do they earn? Why are they considered to be so cool? Can you also become a free ancer? Read on to find out what our group of engineers explored about freelancers and freelancing.

We had a very tiring day at the college. As we were very tired we decided to go to our friend Sutej,s house, rest there for a while and later continue our journey towards our homes. We went to his house and found that his room was open. We walked in. Sutej was not there. We sat in the room for a while and took some rest by leaning towards the wall. My friend Sutej suddenly broke into the room with a very good and interesting topic to discuss. He spoke about his uncle, who worked for nobody and yet earned quite handsomely from the unique photographs which he captured and edited using Photoshop. He never worked for a fixed amount of time per day as most of the officials do. He was a guy who had detained in his studies and was thrown out of college because of his huge list of pending subjects. His uncle never took his life seriously (that’s what we concluded from the above facts, but later we found out that we were absolutely wrong). He started working instantaneously and gained enough success in the field of photography by working under an expert photographer for a period of five months. Later he set sails with a business of his own. All the money he had earned by working for his boss was invested into a very good camera. I quickly understood that his uncle was a freelancer in photography.

The way Sutej described the lifestyle of his freelancer uncle, we became extremely impressed and curious to meet him. Luckily, his uncle got bored by the climate and came upstairs in order to meet Sutej. Then onwards a completely new story started :the story of freelancers and freelancing. The moment his uncle entered the room our friend Sutej started the introduction part. His freelancer uncle was quite surprised to know that I was also doing the same thing which he was doing: freelancing. He asked me, if I had a web-site of my own? I nodded my head denoting a no. He suggested me to buy some space and start blogging. He said that it would earn me more money and would make things look professional.

Many of my friends were not interested in freelancing till now, They were book worms who were interested in studying well and getting good jobs. Hence they were quite insular to such topics. They never understood what we were so proud and excited about. When Sutej’s uncle looked at the blank faces of my friends he understood the situation and hence revised the topic of freelancing jobs with a small introduction so that nobody shall stay aloof in the conversation.

First of all, he spoke about the very different and carefree life he was living as a freelancer: No boss to scold you, order you, tell you what you have to do, etc. A world where you can live as and how you like. A world which is completely your’s. A world where there is no boss. A world where you are the king and there is nobody else in and around to advise you or give you orders. A place where there is complete freedom. A place where you can earn as much as you like, with no restrictions whatsoever. Slowly my friends started realizing the world of freelancing with their blank faces turning into smiling faces.

All my friends were interested in the earning part. Where does the money come from? How does a freelancer earn? And it was at this point that we understood how hard it is to become a freelancer and earn ones daily bread and butter living. Sutej’s uncle started off with a huge laugh. He said that the money earned by the freelancer depends directly upon the quality of his work. Mr. Manu (his name) told us about how he got into the real business world as a free lancer. He was doing freelancing photography for a long time (one year) and was posting his freelancing photographs on the website- Flickr.com. His photographs seemed very dull to him when he compared his work with that of the expert freelancer photographers. Later he got acquainted with a very good photographer called David at Orkut who was also earning as a freelancer. He chatted with Mr. David for a while and understood his own shortcomings. The reason why the photographs of the other freelancer photographers looked so great was because they were edited by them again and again using Photo editing softwares till the desired picture was obtained. In fact he came to know that many a photographs which showed the reflection of the objects in the water reservoirs were made using Adobe Photoshop. Now the freelancer journey of Mr. Manu actually started. He took a book of Adobe Photoshop and started experimenting with the various photographs taken by him. All these freelance photographs were pasted by him at Flickr. He found that the response he was getting now was far more better than the previous ones as a free lancer.

One fine morning this freelancer got an email from an executive of one of the leading companies of the world telling him that the company wanted to buy a few photographs of his, and also wanted him to take a few snapshots for the company endorsements. And then the real adventure began in the life of this freelancer. He got a very good breakthrough and a very good payment for his work.

We were all looking at those smiling eyes which spoke of his unlimited happiness of those times. A few months later he had started getting offers from foreign companies who wanted a freelancer photographer to do their work efficiently and at a reasonable cost. Mr. Manu had by now hired a web-designer and database managing engineer to look after his website which had his collection of unique and mind blowing photographs in it. He does not earn much through the site. The site is just an advertisement which shows his photography skills. So if anybody searches for a photographer on the web they should be able to see his site which showed his best photographs ever taken.

We were all very excited to become such freelancers who are demanded on an international platform. And my journey has already started as a young and enthusiastic writer who has the confidence of winning thousands of hearts with the help of his writings. I agree that there is a lot more that is still unlearnt. But this small fact shall not stop me from reaching my aim. Let us all try out some free-lancing business at some point in our life and see how we withstand the blow of the international competition. Have a nice day as a freelancer !!!!!!!!!
