Flowers And Their Effects

If you have been to someones house which has been designed or at least planned by a good interior designer you will find at least a flower pot at various places in the house even if there are no flowers in it. Why is it that the interior designers use the flower pot concept for every house (or in some cases every room)? The reasons are many. But, I will take the delight of naming only the most important ones.

Flower pots add to the beauty of the house and so do the flowers. A flowerpot without any flowers in it is equal to a head without any brain residing in it. If you have consulted a good interior designer he will buy you or at least recommend flowerpots whose colors are contrast to the wall colors. This makes the visitors attention to be centered towards the flowerpot. This eventually does mean that every visitor coming to your house will ponder his eyes over the flowerpot. If there should be any flowers placed in the pot is now up to you to decide.

Now let us come to the flowers part. Why do we keep flowers in the house. It adds beauty to the house is one reason, but, the main reason why many people used flowers in their house was because their loved the smell of the flowers. Yes, if incense sticks have their aroma roaming throughout your house for an hour at the most, the flowers will have their essence spread throughout the room even after they wither away.

Now coming to the part that many people are curious about. The flowers also activate the romantic side of a person. Even a stone hearted person will become romantic if the right blend of flowers are used in the rooms. Not to mention that these same flowers are also used in a wrong manner by the adulterous villains of the society. The flowers are also said to be the most dearest to gods.

Do remember that every flower does not have the same effect. If some flowers make you an admirer of beauty another set of flowers make you creative and even poetic thus bringing peace, happiness and joy to your family. Marigold is not a flower to be kept in the vase. Neither was it ever used to praise the Divine. If you read the Puranas you will get to know that a Demi-Goddess had created this flower only for herself. Let us take a look at the flowers which look best in the vase.

First is the rose. You can decorate it with leaves of the show-plant trees. Roses bless the house with innocence and happiness. No wonder their aroma is so sweet. Next flower is the lotus (which has great spiritual value attached to it). This flower has been dearer to the Gods and Goddesses of literally all countries throughout the world. Not to forget our fair Daffodils which are a good treat for the flowerpots. But, of course they wither away too soon. Then there is the May flower, Achilea, Ladies Mantle, Snapdragon, Lily of the valley, Chrysanthemum, the ever so lovely African Daisy and the bird of paradise flower.

Do keep one thing in mind that you want flowers which last for a longer time and look very fresh. Whether you buy flowers or pluck them from your garden, please use flowers which have a strong stalk and strong petals. There are sponges available in the market to hold the flowers together, but, they do not last for a longer time and are to be disposed after few uses. Instead use water: this keeps the flowers fresh. Lilies of all types are very good to be kept in the flower pots.
